Early morning hunt

I went to my son's old school and did an area where I thought there would be old coins. I was right - I did find a 1937 wheat penny and my first silver coin - 1939-d mercury dime. I also found buttons but not sure if there kids or real - they look old.  Still plan to hunt some more today so totals will be later. Just wanted to share my first silver find.

Hour hunt

Went to the local park for about an hour - found 52 cents - - 1-q, 2-d, and seven pennies. Plan to do a lot of hunting over the weekend as it's supposed to be nice.  Happy hunting  JB

Short totlot hunt

I have been to this lot before. Must have missed some because most of the coins were buried under the wood chips. I would love to hunt the park but I will have to get permission from the town hall.  Not too bad of a haul - still need to find some gold - one of these days - I hope.  Happy hunting - JB

Quick hunt

Went to a city park for about an hour. Found 34 cents 1-q, 1-n and 4 pennies. I guess it's better than finding nothing. Everything adds up so I can't complain.

Sunday hunt

Well went back to my school for a couple of hours. My son wanted me home so I didn't stay as long as I wanted, but I did manage to sneak off again to his school and find the pocket knife. With the 11 quarters I have surpassed my total of last year 162. The wife likes this because she says it adds to "her" pile. We'll see!!  Last years coin totals were 162 q, 108 d, 42 n, 1 dol, - not sure of the pennies since I wasn't really keeping track of them. Still have the summer and fall to hunt so I should have a nice year end total - I hope (wife).
